Responsibilities:  It is my job to help children understand how to “grow like Jesus.”  I plan and coordinate activities, bible study and ministry events that help children to grow Physically, Mentally, Spiritually and Socially to be more like Christ. All programs and activities are designed to help children know what it means to be a Christian, how to become a Christian and how they are then to live their lives.

Vision for “Touching Families for Christ”:  All Children have a family that they are with much more than the time that we have them here at church.  It is important to disciple these children in a way they can take home to their family life.  A big part of the teaching is done within the home.  Part of Children’s ministry is the contact with parents, grandparents and other agents that are or can become spiritual leaders to children.  As children begin to give their lives to God, they need family as well as church support to help them along the way.

What you like most about serving at FBCD:  I get to meet and work with wonderful future adults; I get to watch them grow physically and spiritually as they become our church of tomorrow.  I also enjoy the relationship with the parents: discussing potentials, futures, ideas and fears. All of this while working with a staff that encourages me, prays for me, leads me, inspires me and helps me to feed on the Word.
